Frequently Asked Questions
How do I pay for my move?
- EFT / Direct Deposit. This is our preferred method and an EFT DISCOUNT applies to all EFT payments. Be sure to include your job reference number so we can easily identify your payment!
- Credit Card. We accept Visa and MasterCard with NO SURCHARGE. We can accept AMEX by phone only and a surcharge is applicable. You can provide card details over the phone or to the furniture removalists on the day (car carriers cannot accept payments for car transport services).
- Bank cheque. Personal cheques cannot be accepted.
- Cash. You may pay by cash on pickup for fixed price furniture removals, or on delivery for hourly rate jobs. However car carriers cannot accept cash payments for car transport services.
How far in advance do I need to book?
We can load on any day and can usually even accept next day bookings. If you're needing to book a last minute move then give is a call on (1800) 800 321 and we'll do our best to get your move picked up ASAP. We will always do our best to accomodate you and will be honest in what we can and can't do.
Do you provide storage and how does it work?
We can provide long or short term storage should you need it. We don't allow public access to our storage facilities, so redelivery from store will also be required. When you're ready for delivery, simply let us know the details and we will get your belongings out to you. The costs for storage and redelivery are usually included in your quote or provided on request. Prices vary depending on the volume of your job. If you require access to your goods whilst they are in storage we recommend that you arrange a unit with a local storage facility, like Kennards or Storage King.
Should I label my removal boxes and other items?
The short answer is 'yes'.
Wherever neccessary, we supply adhesive labels for our furniture removalists for example if they come through a depot or warehouse. However, some jobs are allocated to removalists whilst they are on the road so we can't always provide them with labels for every job.
So it's best to try to label your items yourself before pickup.

What do I need to do on moving day?
The most important tip we have for you is to stay contactable in the lead up to moving day and throughout the course of your furniture removal. Communication is the key to a smooth move. When making your booking please supply us with as many contact alternatives as possible.
It's also important that you, or a representative acting on your behalf, is there to see that everything that needs to be moved is collected. If nobody is in attandance, which is not unusual, it needs to be very clear what is and isn't supposed to picked up by your removalist.
If there is limited parking then you should take whatever steps you can to ensure that the truck has the best possible access to your property. This may mean that you move your cars out of the driveway, or reserve a couple of spots with your own cars (the night before) where street parking is required. Every situation is different, but some common sense and forethought can make all the difference.

How long will my furniture removal take?
This depends greatly on where you are going to or from, how much you have to move, seasonal factors, how many other jobs are on the truck, and a host of other influences. When you get a quote from us we will usually provide an estimate based on long term averages for the regions involved. We will stay in communication with you over the course of your move, providing updates by phone, SMS and/or email. We will contact you to make arrangements for delivery on the day before (or earlier) your job is expected to arrive.
Can I change the date of my booking?
Yes. You can change the date of your move. Just give us a call as soon as possible so we can reschedule.
What if I have more or less stuff?
It's really hard to know everything that needs to be moved until you're all packed and set to go. We understand that. When you book with is we allow you to make changes to your item list right up until the day prior to your scheduled booking.
You should speak to us on the day before your move to finalise any changes in your inventory. We will adjust your price accordingly. We work on a sliding scale, which generally means that the more you have to move, the less it will cost per cubic metre. So you shouldn't expect any substantial price increases unless you've got a huge amount more to take than initially communicated.
If, on the day of your move, you have substantially more items than you've previously listed, we will have to adjust the price to account for the volume you've taken. If, on the other hand, you have less to move at this late stage, we will not be able to reduce your price because we have already reserved that space and we can no longer sell it.

What can I do to make sure my quote is accurate?
Our quotes can only be as accurate as the information we have been given. That said, we've put systems in place online and in our offices to make sure we are asking you all the right questions.
When getting a quote online, or over the phone, it's important that you communicate anything that could effect the job price. Mostly, this boils down to anything that could effect the size of the job or the time, equipment, manpower, or authorisation required to get the job done. There's no 'exhaustive list' but some common sense and forethought will cover most things.
